Overview
JPlayer is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our iOS application.
Information We Collect
JPlayer itself does not collect personal information directly. However, the free version of JPlayer displays advertisements through a third-party advertising network, which may collect certain data as described below. The app:
- Does not require any account creation
- Does not access your location
- Does not collect personal data directly
- Uses a third-party advertising network in the free version (see "Advertising" section below)
Advertising
The free version of JPlayer displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Advertisements are not shown to JPlayer+ premium subscribers.
When ads are displayed, Google AdMob may collect and use certain information to serve relevant advertisements, including:
- Device identifiers (such as advertising ID)
- IP address
- General device information (device model, operating system version)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
JPlayer uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to request your permission before allowing any cross-app tracking. You can change your tracking preference at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking.

Purchase History
JPlayer uses Apple's StoreKit framework to process in-app purchases for JPlayer+ premium. Your purchase history is used solely to verify your premium status and unlock paid features. Purchase data is managed entirely by Apple and is not collected or stored on our servers.
Media Access
JPlayer may request access to media files on your device solely for the purpose of playback functionality. This access:
- Is only used locally on your device
- Is never transmitted to any servers
- Remains entirely under your control
Data Storage
Any preferences or settings you configure within JPlayer are stored locally on your device only. This information:
- Never leaves your device
- Is not backed up to any cloud services by our app
- Can be deleted by uninstalling the app
Third-Party Services
JPlayer integrates the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob – Used to display advertisements in the free version of the app. Not active for premium users. See the "Advertising" section above for details on data collection.
- Apple StoreKit – Used to process in-app purchases. Managed entirely by Apple.
Children's Privacy
JPlayer is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The advertisements displayed through Google AdMob are not personalized for children, and we have configured our ad requests accordingly.
Opting Out of Personalized Ads
You can limit personalized advertising by:
- Declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt when first launching JPlayer
- Going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your iOS device and disabling tracking for JPlayer
- Upgrading to JPlayer+ premium, which removes all advertisements entirely
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

Your Rights
You have the right to control how your data is used for advertising purposes through the App Tracking Transparency settings on your device. You can also eliminate all ad-related data collection by upgrading to JPlayer+ premium. Any locally stored preferences can be removed by uninstalling the app.
